About Aaron: Aaron Conaway is a Senior Network Engineer for VeriFone out of Alpharetta, GA. He has 12 years of experience with designing, implementing, and supporting aspects of the network from switches to routers to firewalls to load balancers. Aaron is also a Cisco Certified Network Professional and is working to finish his CCIE before going down the Juniper certification track. Prior to working with VeriFone, Aaron was a Network Architect with Morris Communications and Network Engineer with Verisign.

About the Blog: For the time being, Aaron writes two types of articles – full articles and stubby posts.  The full articles contain as much information as Aaron deems necessary to explain the topic.  A lot of the time, it’s way too much information, but the articles are thorough enough so the reader can understand what’s going on with just a basic understanding of networking concepts.  The stubby posts, a more recent addition, are shorter posts with very little or no explanation.  These are usually passing thoughts in Aaron’s head or just proofs of concept for technologies.  The stubby posts aren’t really there to educate the reader; instead, they exist to introduce interesting topics, share a good link, or just record some words for posterity.

Aaron’s Attitude: Aaron is a curmudgeon; he hates everything.  One of the things he loves, though, is learning.  If you see something that needs correcting, speak up!  If you feel something is missing from a post, speak up!  If you have an idea for a new topic, speak up!  On top of that, Aaron is always open to answering any questions you may have, so…wait for it…speak up!

Contacting Aaron:  You can contact Aaron via Twitter at his Twitter page.  You can also email him at aconaway@aconaway.com.
